Billing and Insurance
What billing or insurance information will I receive?
Your insurance will be verified before your appointment. Accurate and up to date insurance information will be needed to allow our office personnel to perform this service for you. With accurate information, we can not only confirm in network status, but anticipate co-pays and deductibles to remove surprises after the visit.
How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?
After your visit, your insurance will receive billing information within 24 hours. In most cases, insurances process the claim within 3 weeks. In many cases, the insurance will request further information from the patient in the form of a questionnaire before processing the payment.
Why am I getting bills from physicians?
After your insurance processes the claim, any portion of the bill that has been converted to patient responsibility will then be billed through the doctor's office. This payment can be made before or after receiving the statement from the doctor's office.
I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill - but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?
Our personnel would be happy to review your statement with you and have vast experience navigating the confusing insurance billing system. In most cases, we can help you understand your bills and help you with your insurance in cases of errors or denials.
